About Florence Exchange
The Florence Exchange Club is a local chapter of The National Exchange Club, a service organization founded in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan. Today there are more than 500 clubs and over 18,000 members across the country and Puerto Rico, all working under one simple motto: Unity for Service.
Here in the Shoals, we are the oldest civic club in the community, with a singular focus that has never changed: giving back. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, recognized by the IRS in 2017. We are a group of men and women who believe that giving back is one of the best things a person can do, and that it is even better when done together. Every dollar we raise goes back into serving Florence and the surrounding community.

Inspiring communities to become better places to live.
What Guides Our Work

The National Exchange Club organizes its efforts around three Programs of Service and one National Project. Local clubs like ours decide how to bring each of these to life in our own community.
Americanism
We promote pride in our country, gratitude for our freedoms, and appreciation for those who serve and have served in the Armed Forces.
Community Service
This is the heartbeat of Exchange. Our members give countless hours to projects that fill real needs across the Shoals.
Youth Programs
We believe young people are our community's most precious resource. Through scholarships, partnerships, and recognition, we help the next generation thrive.
Prevention of Child Abuse
In 1979, Exchange adopted the prevention of child abuse as its National Project. We support this cause by standing behind the local organizations doing this work every day.
